British Library, London, England, 2009
The British Library was created in 1973 and the largest public building constructed in the 20th Century
in the UK. The library contains over 150 million items in all known languages and formats and is one
of the largest research libraries in the world. The sculpture is by Eduardo Paolozzi and based on
William Blake's study of Sir Isaac Newton.
